I didn’t know you could block VPNs…I thought that was the whole point of them. Plus pornhub is blocked in various states in the U.S and VPNs work fine for that

@BrentToderian I think there is still a decent discoverability problem on Mastodon when you compare it to the start packs Bluesky is doing…that and the fact that I personally believe they’re riding hype train and seeing a lot more growth than here

@thomholwerda @aral In the U.S many hospital systems use Google Enterpise. It’s like 80K- 100K per year. Everything is E2EE and HIPPA compliant.

But usually businesses use their own domain so you’re not getting a simple @ gmail account. Hopefully they’re paying for business accounts at the very least

@mattly @inthehands I’ve been trying to reason with people in their discord server…it’s kinda wild how much it embodies toxic tech culture. “These people are woke” and “stop shoving LGBTQ issues down our throats” are actual responses I’m encountering.

To be clear these people are not the dev team (so far), but I would nuke the entire server if I was hosting a community like that

@evan I know this is probably rhetorical, but it’s because of the way our government is set-up to give the minority party (or states) a disproportionate amount of power. We see this all the time in 2023-24. It doesn’t actually matter what the majority of citizens want when Wyoming gets the same amount of senators as California
