@stux In America 🇺🇸 people are highly encouraged to buy large cars as they are safer in car accidents due to the presence of other large cars (smaller cars would get crushed against a larger car apparently).

It’s a weird slippery slope, but the larger cars also consume more energy (gas or electricity) & take up way more space in parking lots.
