Evangelion is full of Christian allegories, it is also pulls from several other religions and mythos; that's part of why it is so interesting.

Madoka is more buddistic because of how the timeline is restored along with how the hair colors of the girls align with the colors associated with the reincarnation circle and how that colors their actions and deaths.

I think in terms of applications and time used, RCA wins hands down. For number sold and devices supporting it, HDMI wins; though I think it is on the decline with DP, USB-C/Thunderbolt competition.
