This actually was a problem in movies for a long time. Hollywood was obsessed with jamming romance subplots into anything they could to boost female viewership. People complained about it all the time. It died in the 2000s because you can't autistically balance the appeal to each sex for every piece of media.The attempt is just as unworkable here. It's a retarded assumption in the American entertainment industry that any media can expand its target-demographic indefinitely.

Is there a proper amount of sexualization? (made-up concept btw, all healthy women of child-bearing age are inherently sexual) If so who are you or anyone else to determine it? Why is it bad to go over this arbitrary limit? is there such a thing as under-sexualized? Naturally, that should be just as bad.
The trend was caused by a specific ideological cohort inserting themselves into the industry using the political pressure of third wave feminism in the hopes of getting positions as taste-makers and commissars. No woman was thinking "Oh I'd love to play Mortal Kombat, but I can't do so until Mileena is a B cup." These companies weren't strapped for cash either. It'd be like R&B singers switching to scream vocals to attract metalheads. No one wants this and you'd be laughed out of the room for suggesting it.

I'm not sure why no one (that I've noticed, it's a long thread) has mentioned the Comics Code Authority...but that's the real reason here. Super heroes didn't kill because the writers weren't allowed to show them killing. If they did, their comic would lose the CCA seal of approval, and then stores would either refuse to sell it or risk punishment including vandalism.
This also why American comics became nothing but super heroes despite things like westerns, detective, and horror being very popular in the early days. It's one of the very few genres that could even hope to abide by the code and still sell.

I can understand, and at times forgive, when a game takes a while to open up the mechanics to the player or just starts with too many cut-scenes or too much dialogue. There are good games that fall victim to this.
Legitimately what the fuck is going on that would need 130 HOURS to establish? What could possibly require that much set up?

The problem is that getting good isn't scalable. While self improvement can benefit most guys individually if they all were to do it it would just increase the speed of the "treadmill".
Of course, this is a problem for the faggots running things but I'd rather not have to deal with the fallout of "We couldn't find enough guys with an IQ over 90 to keep the trains running on time".
