     It's sad because I really liked the art direction. The game is visually beautiful. The English actors are really good too. It's the combat that just sucks ass. And even if you can get decent at that, the story really falls apart. There are a lot of red harings. Even after the big reveal, the game just draaaaaaags on. And when you look back at the story (no spoilers), it really does not work well at all if you think about it for more than a few minutes.
     
     It had a lot of potential. After I finished it I looked through French made games and I think all the one's I've played have all had dark, sometimes fucked up, stories: A Plague Tale I/II and Life Is Strange

     Is Metaphor real turn-based, or is it that shitty dodge/twitch mechanics + turned base? That really pissed me off with Expedition 33. (Got huge reviews, found it massively overrated).

     @djsumdog i did pick up my own copy on the steam sale so I'll judge this for myself soon. I'm probably going to like the combat more than you did, I played a lot of Legend of Dragoon and Legend of Legia when I was a kid. I'm fact I JUST finished replaying LoD. So I am looking forward to active inputs in an otherwise turn based setting
