If anyone is annoyed that so many people have so little to live off, maybe consider supporting policy which doesn't leave so many people destitute.

Something like UBI would really change things.

Until that gets enacted, don't begrudge people that they're asking for the means to live.

Only when that number starts to drop does it look like we're taking effective climate action.

Moving emissions elsewhere, fake offsets, numbers of non-fossil fuel generation capacity, electrifying things...

None of that addresses that we need to stop burning fossil fuels.

For most kids, the only escape from that silo is a public library. Because they can just walk in, grab a book and read it.
