Belated, I know, but thank you for sharing that with me! I tried it in some muffins and it works much better than the previous mixture I had used, which for some reason used salt where this one uses starch.
I didn't have any arrowroot so I substituted cassava and that worked.
They could be. But license plate readers make identification a whole lot easier and more accurate. So on the whole, I think you're harder to surveil outside of a car, so long as you don't allow your phone to broadcast your location.
Q6. Have you seen this dual-chain redundant drive system and would you want one? (If not, have you seen any ultra-reliable designs or other unconventional drivetrains)
Oddly enough, I can't make pancakes from scratch anymore, because it appears you can no longer buy baking powder that doesn't contain corn, and I'm allergic to corn.
I can use the gluten-free pancake mix from King Arthur, so at least I can make some pancakes.
Having seen what a huge proportion of new users create an account and then just never seem to do anything with it, I really believe Mastodon needs something like starter packs, and maybe even a little automated thing that offers a few upon signup (this part could be managed by instance admins, rather than universally). Follow lists are ok but the mechanism for importing them needs to be simplified a lot, like "click this button" simple.
The one big thing I would change is that people should have to grant permission before being included in someone's recommendations.
"Free fares increase ridership, and more riders mean more spending. More riders plus streetcar outcomes noted earlier are associated with $2.3 million more tax revenue in 2023 than in 2019, adjusted for inflation. This excludes all other revenues, which are substantial.
The bottom line is that the $800,000 in waived streetcar fares is associated with $2.3 million in new tax revenue since 2019 for a net gain of $1.5 million.
I have read that if the car is in deep water, it's more less impossible to open a door due to the immense pressure, and that breaking a window is your only viable option.
Gold is a real thing that exists and is useful, regardless of how much value is assigned to it. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has no existence outside of its valuation.
I will ride on the sidewalk in some places, regardless of legality, where the car traffic is just too hazardous. But I try to go at pedestrian speeds and carefully yield to people walking.
Things like gutting most of the regulatory agencies, even the weather service, will happen though, and that will injure everyone. It would not surprise me to see the economy collapse within a few years.
The second bike is not a true folder, it's more like a hybrid of a folder and a mini-velo. This is an older Pacific Reach. It rides pretty much like a normal bike (at least so far as I remember what a normal bike feels like). There's front and rear suspension and a built-in rear rack.
You can pack this bike inside a suitcase by removing the front wheel and swinging the rear triangle under so that the rear wheel rests inside the fork. But it's not practical to fold it and carry it around like most folding bikes.
I'd love a new version of this. They've upgraded it with disc brakes and some other nice things, but I think you now have to import them from Asia and it's absurdly expensive.
Hmmm...I wouldn't put it past them to implement this without any way for the recipient to turn the notifications off. Just think of the interesting things one could do with that.
