A bit ago I learned that Minneapolis has an electronics thrift store. I went there today, tripped, and accidentally bought a tower server for $200. 12 cores, 128GB of RAM, and 3 4TB drives.
So now I have a TrueNAS server humming in the basement.

As a single person, there's not much I can do on a national scale.
But as a new member of a community, I can get involved to try and make people's lives better locally. Does anyone in the Twin Cities know of some non-profits that help the more vulnerable citizens? (LGBTQ+, immigrants, homeless, etc.)
