Optionally, you can add a notification to yourself and/or a TTS warning to the No-Playstation automation.

Now... if you narc on me and tell your kid who taught you this, I swear to god I'll teach them how to circumvent this.

If you perhaps allow your kid to play freely on the weekend, for example, simply make a script that disables the No-Playstation automation till the end of the weekend.

If you want an easy way to turn this off, and re-enable it after, so the parent can play -

      Script
      Disable No-Playstation
Wait till PS entity is off
      enable No-Playstation.

@bryanredeagle I grew up in the 90s. If your kids have an above average IQ, I can assure you that plan isn't working. Though, neither would what I just described. 🤣

      "I'm taking the computer away!"
"oh no. don't do that." *readies my tools*

@hellomiakoda I used to go this sort of route with my kids. Eventually, I gave up and just locked the PlayStation in my room. Along with other devices.

@bryanredeagle I got lucky as a kid. Or unlucky, depending on your POV. Outsmarting my parents was incredibly easy for me. Though, that had the downside of being exposed to things that probably fucked up me. 🤣

@hellomiakoda I've been at this a while (3 of my 4 kids are teens now). They aren't fooling me, and most of the stuff they tried were things I did when I was young.

@bryanredeagle Example: My mother got a computer desk that was a big cabinet, with doors that close the whole thing away and locked. She figured it might not be impenetrable, but it'd be obvious if I broke it.
Took me under a minute to figure out how it worked and how to unlock, and after, relock it without any sign I had been in there. With a few minutes practice, I could shut down the PC and relock in the time it took her to walk from the car.

@bryanredeagle Oh, and the finishing touch... Running the cordless phone battery down and ensuring my friend's number was sitting in the redial to explain away why the phone had been busy for the past few hours. 😎

@bryanredeagle I told her about this in my 20s. She was all mad. "No no, the statutes of limitations are long up on this." 🤣
