It is illegal for a campaign to accept foreign donations. If your son would like to help, there are innumerable worthy causes, but I believe that a strong liberal government in the UK is also good for liberal government in the US. Perhaps that could be his focus.

That's exactly right. Words can have multiple meanings and connotations depending on context. Tone policing or insisting on overly narrow definitions of a word is unhelpful.

Creatives often want, above all else, to have their art seen and appreciated. I think there's a stigma about the fediverse that says you won't have that here. That a person's reach is extremely limited in the fediverse. I don't know if that's actually true or not, but until that perception changes, it's going to be hard to attract major creative types. (Of any kind: artists, journalists, musicians, etc.)

It's a bit of a chicken and egg problem.

@FrayJay @arstechnica School buses make up to six runs per day, and they are used for field trips. The miles can add up, especially in large, sparsely populated districts.

Also, I expect that range estimate can vary wildly in different climates and locales. If the bus needs to run air conditioning or go up and down hills, its range may drop precipitously.
