Easiest thing you can do is cancel any subscriptions you have to CBS and ABC products. Broadcast license doesn’t mean shit if nobody watches.

The thundering return of antitrust law wouldn’t solve all of the country’s problems, but it sure would help.

We also need to go back to prohibiting companies from owning too many broadcast stations. Nexstar and Sinclair should not exist in their current forms.

@noondlyt @inthehands @mcnado I figured out what I was missing. Nexstar is actually the one who decided to pull Kimmel, and Disney followed suit. Nexstar owns my local ABC affiliate (and hundreds of others).
So, we should boycott Nexstar, too.

@noondlyt @inthehands @mcnado I don’t see anyone even talking about that aspect, so it’s more likely that I don’t understand how it works.

@noondlyt @inthehands @mcnado I’m not even sure whose license they would revoke. There’s WABC-TV in New York, which has a license for broadcast in that region, but revoking their license wouldn’t affect the hundreds of affiliate stations across the country that aren’t owned by Disney/ABC. ABC could continue to provide content to their stations without needing a license, I think.

@noondlyt @inthehands @mcnado Broadcast license doesn’t even matter for streaming services. They don’t require an FCC license. The license is only for over-the-air broadcast.
