@wdjorth@guyjantic@coolinthegame Why shareholders don't demand replacing the most expensive tiers of corporate management with AI I will never know, especially since most are simply regurgitating the same trite crap they acquired from B-school curriculum.
Amazing how uppermost management is the layer most unaffected by AI implementation.
@liztai It's driving me nuts that the name "RedNote" has proliferated so much of late that RedNotebook journaling app is lost in the clutter. Need a digital flamethrower to break through the glut of chatter about the social media app to find any discussion about the journaling app.
@stux Thanks, stux, fully support you. I had filtered Threads accounts and blocked the domain but this makes it more reliable. I don't want Meta harvesting my personal info or posts because a Threads account crossed the streams.
It's not as if folks can't go to Threads and follow accounts there by other methods.
Yet another reason why I have blocked Threads' domains and posts shared from Threads. I don't trust Meta/Threads at all; Zuckerberg and his corporations have given me one reason after another not to trust them since I left Facebook in 2010.
This screenshot is being shared but not easily available from the source site, The National Pulse, which is subscriber supported (i.e., paywalled).
The National Pulse is run by a former Breitbart-UK editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam, which explains the lack of disgust at Carmack in this screenshot. Breitbart is and has been pro-fascist.
What we should be doing in addition to organizing massive turnout: contacting our senators and representatives and demanding they support AOC's articles of impeachment to remove corrupt justices.
FURTHER, we should demand senators and representatives draft a bill to enlarge SCOTUS to match the number of appeals court districts.
@hllizi@davidaugust Yup, Economics 101 - supply and demand curves. A basic concept earlier than freshman year B-school, like market fundamentals kids learn trading for digital Neopets.
This is the real problem with so-called "free market" unregulated capitalism: many capitalists don't understand economics, thinking markets listen only to them because of their capital. When it doesn't respond as they wish, they act corruptly to make a market controlled in their favor, ex. frozen minimum wage.
My spouse drove his car about a block's length down a street which was under water. He didn't notice exactly how deep it was as the street had no curbs against which he could gauge water depth. Ruined the engine of his year-old Chrysler 300, had to replace it.
Like you said, don't do it. Even with curbed streets don't do it because it's hard to say when water will suddenly swamp a street during/after a storm event.
