This is weird, I recently cancelled Netflix as you can see on 24-01-2026 but I just checked again since it was still active and they just cancelled my cancellation without any notice

Only now it shows a cancellation banner in the app etc

As of today, mstdn.social, masto.ai, mastodon.coffee, gram.social, pixey.org, vido.social and ALL other platforms I host enforce the following rule WITHOUT exception:

Instead of a WhatsApp group or whatever, my two oldest friends and me have a private non-federated Mastodon instance running on my laptop for some time now :blobcatgiggle:

It's all private and closed so only we 3 use it to communicate and share stories with each other!

You can just disable federation and set everything private so it becomes a little intranet for friends!

From the 23th of February we will be moved completely, I already am living in our new place but my gf isn’t yet because of her current job

At this moment she has not found a new job at our new place yet so I started also looking for an extra job for myself

We live quite remote so it’s gonna be a challenge
