@i_give_u_worms @JuliusGoat No. Many immigrants will have no place to go. Home countries may not accept them. They’ve been here so long, they don’t know the language, culture, and really have no proof of their origin anyway.

Those people end up in permanent camps, but those camps don’t pay for themselves, and they have a free labor pool. They become labor camps.

This becomes such a greet boon for business, that the camps expand their qualifications. See 1932…

@RickiTarr Absolutely. If nothing else, your vote is heard. It’s part of s number that could make courts think twice about rejecting evidence in favor of political convenience knowing there is a sea of people waiting to make you irrelevant.

@selzero @kaia I think, the best choices for a wine novice would be a Cabernet for a red, and a Sauvignon Blanc for a white. They are relatively neutral, but not generic.

Everyone will have a different opinion. My favourite is Pinot Noir.

@selzero @kaia Rather than “bad grapes” it’s frequently a blend of leftovers. What used to be called 2 buck chuck (Trader Joe’s) was notorious for occasionally having extremely good wine, but with very high variation.

People would buy a bottle of it, sample it in the parking lot, and if it was good, they’d go back and buy as much as they could afford.

Don’t know if it’s true anymore. It’s certainly no longer 2 dollars a bottle.

While I agree with them on most issues, the Democratic electorate in particular, is a hodgepodge of diverse opinions.

Right or wrong, coming at Democrats as though the left is sole arbiter of justice fails.

@darnell @randahl I appreciate that this is not cut and dry. I’m nevertheless very skeptical of Israel because of what is blatantly true on the West Bank. They can blame Arafat and Abbas all they want, but Israel is doing this, not the PLO.

But in Gaza, it’s not clear. Hamas is a very bad actor. They are maximizing civilian casualties. I suspect both sides are. We’ve heard what right wing Israeli government officials say. There is no compassion.

We see this all of the time from hucksters on the left and the right. Remember anti-vaccine disinformation was originally seen as a left wing issue. Sometimes the disinformation on the left is boosted by figures on the right. Guys like Mike Adams of Natural News is a Trumper appealing to left.
