Cory, in case you haven't already been told elsewhere, typo in today's post, screenshot attached.
"they didn't get to run GM >Entil< Ronald Reagan"
Great job as usual on the post.

@kwheaton @HistoPol @hu_logic so, by your reasoning, we've already lost. Your defeatist take is terrible. Your framing is straight from the mouths of the fascist right.
I'm with Laffy on this; if you're going to engage in defeatist circlejerking about Biden, go ahead and drop me from the thread, as my next likely move is muting all of you for being defeatist.
@HistoPol @GottaLaff respectfully, you have no idea what you're saying.
Suggesting ANY candidate other than the one who successfully received enough delegates through the primary election process is anti-democratic and pretty much exactly the playbook that got us #TFG last time. Newsom is a nonstarter. He has publicly said he is not doing it. Jesus, will you all stop fantasizing over a nameless, faceless Dem who will save the ticket?
@br00t4c RustDesk or bust, people.
@lovelylovely @br00t4c I get the feeling that some amount of this dudes posting is produced by automation (ie. bot)
Some articles this account posts are straight garbage. Some of them are good. Gotta do the sifting yourself unfortunately.
@BeAware pure conjecture, but they might still transit federated servers, which will receive the content ostensibly unencrypted. So if the scraper is actually federated on activity pub and we'll connected, it seems plausible.
@primalanomaly @aral miles of difference between the two. A social media platform is something you choose to participate in. What country you live in is not something that most folks have the ability to choose. Being stuck in a #fascist country is not a matter of choice, but spending any amount of time on X/Twitter is 100% a choice.
Quit apologizing for people who have had enough time and been told repeatedly to realize that they are now hanging around in a Nazi bar.
Grew up in Silicon Valley, did the big corporate technology thing, then moved to wine country, produced Wine Biz Radio (RIP), then making films and video as an entrepreneur, then into nonprofit arts center managing the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival, and now teaching media and stagecraft to teenagers in a public high school. Kinda freaky, considering I also dabble in ham radio, electronics and eurorack synths.
