I got a drivers license a couple months ago. I'd been a pedestrian, transit user and bicyclist for a while before that.
The DMV has a driving course. Visitors park in a lot, then use a pedestrian crossing to get to the building with the counter.
For the test, I had to stop and yield to these pedestrians crossing. Afterwards, the tester complained that I'd been too cautious, and waited too long for the pedestrians. 😕 like there's a requirement to thread around pedestrians
