I got a drivers license a couple months ago. I'd been a pedestrian, transit user and bicyclist for a while before that.

The DMV has a driving course. Visitors park in a lot, then use a pedestrian crossing to get to the building with the counter.

For the test, I had to stop and yield to these pedestrians crossing. Afterwards, the tester complained that I'd been too cautious, and waited too long for the pedestrians. 😕 like there's a requirement to thread around pedestrians

My wife's stolen Gazelle C380 is now up for sale on Facebook "$500 OBO" in Saint Paul. I have a Minneapolis Police case #, but they never even called me back.

Is there a helpful detective at MPD/StPaul who helps?

Do I just go try to buy it back for $500? Or is there some way to get MPD's help? It was really very expensive for us, and we really can't mess around if there is any chance to get it back.

What should we do?

Welp this sucks!

I'm 10 episodes into "Eat, Love, Kill" on Disney+, with 6 to go.

And today it's telling me I need to upgrade to Disney+Hulu to see *any* of it (including the episodes I already watched)

Searching Help, it looks like plain Disney+ users can't see Hulu stuff without an add-on since at least last year...

so how was I able to see 10 episodes?
Is this something Disney does (let you watch half of a drama, then cut you off)?

To do it justice, you need to speak to specific risks. Not handwaving.

To ignite, I think the battery would need to be physically damaged, or else overcharged. If the BMS could be reprogrammed OTA, it's possible to make cars that burn while plugged in and charging. That would be horrendous.

But that's not the same as the implied "Halt and Catch Fire" command from the cloud.

Just for perspective, KIA was recently found to have a dealer back-door to KiaConnect on *every* KIA. And it was open to the world if you knew how to access the web interface.

So, a bad actor could have remote-started every KIA in the US at 2am, filling homes with deadly carbon monoxide.

The problem is bigger than EVs.

In my miniMBA, they told us that in Minnesota, the employer must pay-out accumulated vacation at separation, unless the employee manual states otherwise.

My current job's manual sadly *does* state that unused vacation is *not* paid-out on separation.

I would love to hear if that were not legal. I've got 8 weeks banked, and am considering a change.

Oops, no bus today. I dallied until it was -16C/3F and it was actually beautiful biking.

The taco, gordito and quesadilla from Gorditos El Gordo were all good! Just east of I35W on Lake Street #Minneapolis. Best part was the green chilli sauce and the guac.

Down-side was that their website (grubhub ewww) was missing vegetarian items so I ordered in person

I use mylanta (aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide) when I want an antisieze but without grease.

(It can also be used when temperature is too hot for grease, like car/motorcycle exhaust header bolts)

Our adult children (who don't own cars) tried for the MN rebate and failed. I'd suggest that it be limited to 100% Area Media Income, and $750 per bike, on a purchase of $1500 or less.

Also, the state needs to work with suppliers like Lectric, Aventon, Radio Flyer and RadPower to make sure attainable, UL listed ebikes are available. SorryNotSorry, Riese&Müller.

I want to get ebikes to people who will use them for transport.

AAAayyyy! The new Amtrak train from Minneapolis to Chicago hit 100k passengers in only 22 weeks... almost double the projected ridership. Good job, Amtrak!
