In my miniMBA, they told us that in Minnesota, the employer must pay-out accumulated vacation at separation, unless the employee manual states otherwise.
My current job's manual sadly *does* state that unused vacation is *not* paid-out on separation.
I would love to hear if that were not legal. I've got 8 weeks banked, and am considering a change.
🧵> However, when teaching concepts like recursion and array assignments, the teacher *must* explain the details of the mechanisms (pointers and stack) that Python is supposed to hide. I don't see how Students could grasp those concepts otherwise.
My lectures involved lots of "dynamic" boxes-and-arrows diagrams that could only be done with chalk and eraser on a blackboard. I don't see how I could get the same effect with PowerPoint in any reasonable amount of time...

My sole interest is in returning the power of justice back to the people.
Columbia's website cites the 1968 violence it deployed against students and triumphantly declares, "Columbia is a far different place today than it was in the spring of 1968."
Columbia's actions tonight, 56 years to the day, to once again deploy police against students protesting war, prove otherwise.
