Finally, I feel seen.

This week for #MusicWomenWednesday I'm showcasing one of my all time favorite singers. Her incredibly unique jazzy voice transcended genres and showed people that music doesn't have rules.

Of course I'm referring to the amazing Nina Simone. This is a cover of 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' but I've never heard a bad song performance from her.

My motto is 'the only bad movie is a boring movie' so I watch some REAL stinkers and get so much enjoyment out of them. My New Year's resolution this year was to watch every TROMA movie and I've seen over a hundred this year. Some of them are comedy gold. 🤮

'RED ONE' made about $32 million this weekend, which isn't even as much as The Rock was paid (reportedly $50 million) and doesn't come anywhere close to the $250 million budget overall. YIKES!! 😳

This week's #TuneTuesday conjures up memories of a lot of great songs for me. The theme is #YouCantTouchThis, that is songs that are always best in their original form, despite numerous covers. My choice is 'House of the Rising Sun' by The Animals. It always blows me away how great this song is and the heights they reach in the song aren't often duplicated successfully. 😎
