   So, I gave it a shot (again) and saw this post over on #Bluesky and it perfectly encapsulates why I stay away:

   "I did not have a Tucker heel face turn on my card for this week. Is this why the Marvel movies have sucked since Endgame? Washington stole all the writers?"

   Literally not even discussing films and #MARVEL catches random strays. At least over here people have to hashtag it to throw it in the face of fans. 🙄

     @jacklaridian I have been there for almost 2 yrs now & I have *never* seen a post referencing Marvel, lol.
     People have opinions & reference things. You can block them. Or ignore them & keep scrolling instead of taking it as a personal attack against something you find precious.
     You can also stay here w most posts getting very little interaction or comments.
     You don't have to like #Bluesky OR post there, but you're making a grand, unfair assumption over a very specific peeve.

     I'm sorry people don't comment on your book reviews over here. I remember when you posted other stuff and I enjoyed following you. Glad you found more attention on Bluesky, but the site is not for me.

     My point about the Marvel post is the whole reason to go to BS is the 'feeds' feature. It's a FLAW that both positive and negative comments show up in your feed. I get a lot less negativity here and I can only assume it's because people here are nicer.

     @jacklaridian That's interesting as the one thing I HAVE heard & know about BS feeds is that most of them have no algorithm. So yeah, I suppose that means you get both bad & good stuff in the "discover" feed & others.

     I don't see any of that since I usually just use the "Following" feed where I've curated a good mix of people + use a bunch of block lists to weed out bad faith actors/arguers, bots, etc.

     I get more interaction re: everything: books, movies, art- but I'm happy you're happy here!

     So, you're saying if I stop following feeds and only follow people, then I can slowly build a positive algorithm like I did here.

     Let me ask you this. If I'm going to do this without the shortcuts (ie feeds), is it better to go to Bluesky or start an account on Threads?

     Yes. You should follow people who post content you like & interact w those people. The following feed is a DELIGHT once you follow enough accounts, and from there you meet new people & grow organically. *I also recommend Starter Packs, which let you immediately follow a bunch of say, film lovers, etc.*

     I refuse to use Meta anything so I can only go by what I've heard from others about Threads: that it's a cesspool of Influencers, corporate accounts, & petty people. Ymmv.
