With that said, I hate cooking for just myself. If I lived alone I’d probably live on cereal and sandwiches. But I love making tasty things for others so I cook 4 to 5 times a week.

@artemis this is why it ultimately fails, because the longer you deny reality the more likely it is reality destroys you. Unfortunately, the longer the rot of fascism grows, the more damage it does to everyone, which is why it needs to be stamped out. It’s a cancer.

With that said, I think the sooner you proceed on the assumption that the US is an adversary, the better off everyone, including the people in the US, will be. Work systematically to remove any US dependencies in your security.

@stevegis_ssg @mekkaokereke my wife makes this amazing three layer pecan pie with cream cheese and brownies as the other two layers. She makes the pastry from scratch and everything. The USDA recommended serving size is one slice per year. It’s insanely decadent. This year it’s for the solstice holiday. I can’t wait!

@GregNilsen @kims @mekkaokereke Super flawed system for hockey as an individual statistic anyway. Connor Bedard had the fourth worst +/- in NHL last season but I don't think you'd find a hockey team fan alive that wouldn't want him on their team!

@inthehands when I despair and get into a “fuck everything” mode is when I’m most vulnerable to bad ideas. I’ve learned to look past the surface feeling when I get that way and see what’s really driving that despair.

BTW this was not a magical transformation that I decided to do one day. This was the result of years of therapy and practice.
