🤔 Can a lava flow extend into the sky? No, but light from the lava flow can. One effect is something quite unusual -- a volcanic light pillar. More typically, light pillars are caused by sunlight and so appear as a bright column that extends upward above a rising or setting Sun. Alternatively, other light pillars -- some quite colorful -- have been recorded above street and house lights. This light pillar, though, was illuminated by the red light emitted by the glowing magma of an erupting volcano. The volcano is Italy's Mount Etna, and the featured image was captured with a single shot during an early morning in mid-February. Freezing temperatures above the volcano's lava flow created ice-crystals either in the air above the volcano or in condensed water vapor expelled by Mount Etna. These ice crystals -- mostly flat toward the ground but fluttering -- then reflected away light from the volcano's caldera.

New Strain of Fatal Bird Flu

"At least four cattle herds in Nevada have tested positive for a strain of H5N1 bird flu never before seen in cows, state agriculture officials confirmed Wednesday, and respiratory symptoms like coughing and sneezing have been reported.
That bird flu strain, called D1.1 by scientists, was also linked to a fatal human case in Louisiana last year after exposure to sick birds. The D1.1 strain has emerged in recent months to dominate infections in wild birds and poultry flocks across North America."

'In Texas, the Alice Independent School district sent out this notice to parents saying the school busses for extra-curricular activities could be stopped at highway checkpoints in and out of the Valley, and boarded by US Border Patrol . Undocumented children would be removed from the bus, detained and quite possibly deported.The district was thinking of setting up a chaperone vehicle to accompany the bus so any detained children would not be alone.

Most of us know this however, apparently it needs to be said.
Due to threats to our sovereignty, we Canadians are hurt and angry at Trump/Musk and supporters,
HOWEVER,
Many Americans Support Canadians. and many Are Immigrants seeking Our Shelter and Protection so if you think you should be forming a neighbourhood watch group "in case something happens" just STOP RIGHT NOW! We do NOT want this escalating into viligante groups hurting innocent Americans.
The threat is NOT from inside Canada, it is from OUTSIDE our national boundaries. The last thing we want is conflict within our borders. Trump would love to destabilize our unity, so welcome your American neighbours and their support, don't shut them out and do NOT turn against them.
Anyone suggesting anything contrary to this will be blocked by me and I would expect the same from all Canadians.
We have a history of sheltering those needing our protection, don't allow that to slip from our grasp.

We truly empathize with your situation. You are frightened, anyone who is not isn't paying attention to recent events or is in a state of denial, and we want to help but you can't expect us to accept entire states.
👉 As you read this and the attached article below, and think about my post remember we are trying to help by accepting immigrants, and help by other means, for example, around the globe there is a race save data before it's removed from your websites so later you can access it.
Our hearts are *deeply* saddened by recent events in your country, and we want to help but the reality is there are limits to what we can safely do without risking the elimination of our country.
And to those of you who understand and support us, I can't thank you enough because it takes a lot of empathy and courage to see through your own pain and fear to validate ours. We see and deeply appreciate you.

Yes, they do too often ask me that that's why my curt response.
I used to go into a lengthy explanation all the reasons why it is not feasible but it all boils down to we are different and do NOT want to our identity overwhelmed and diluted by a massive influx of tens of millions of unknown Americans...including MAGAs.
Individuals are more than welcome to move here, but no, not states joining.
That's a settler attitude.
And when I have people making the request or suggestion many, many times a day it's annoying because it shows a lack of thought and sensitivity, so I apologize for my short reply earlier.

And think about this if a country was threatening yours, and part of it said we want to join you...??
