I act like a doddering old woman (it's not as stretch believe me LOL) when I get the "your amazon account, Visa, account has a large purchase...." I first turn to my hubby and ask the location of my purse, waste time "wandering around the house looking", then slowly go through everything inside the purse, as I search for my (nonexistent) card, one by one I comment on each...my "lost" library card -what was the last book I borrowed? Oh yes, the one about....--, then there's a photo of cousin Helen who fell off the roof one summer while rescuing her favourite cinnamon cat, the envelope with the lock of hair from dear departed sister Louise who married that awful cat-about-town scoundrel and drunkard Pete-my goodness he was a burden on our family,.....I go on forever while they try to interrupt and slowly lose patience.

In the end, my husband "reminds me" I have to go to the doctor so I hang up...or he reminds me I no longer have that amazon card. Whew they don't like the latter. lol.

"With Queen’s Park ordering the removal of the city’s bike lane infrastructure, an exasperated Toronto has offered to start calling Ontario Premier Doug Ford “Mayor”, thus satiating his lifelong yearning for the job, if he just stopped trying to ruin the city and got back to the job of managing the rest of the province.

“To be honest, I give in,” said the actual mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow, on Friday afternoon. “Every week it’s something new. I never even wear my “Mayor” sash: he can have it. I’ll send it by bike courier while it’s still safe to do so.”

“He can even cut the ribbons in front of new parks if he gives us back the Science Centre. And if he doesn’t sell one of our most prominent waterfront areas to a private spa chain we’ll even let him be the one who calls the mayor of the opposing city when our sports teams are playing and makes a dumb little bet. He’ll love that.”

Aides from the city were also dispatched to the Premier’s office uptown where they were redecorating, installing a new City of Toronto flag, and scratching out the word Premier in the nameplate on the door. Marit Stiles was brought in and agreed to call herself “a leftist city councilor” in the Premier’s presence instead of her actual title “Leader of the Official Opposition of Ontario.”

“Obviously it’s a bit ridiculous. But if bowing to him and saying ‘good morning Mr. Mayor’ stops me from getting run over by a pickup truck during my morning bike ride to work I’m willing to do it,” said local cyclist Peter Perkins.

If none of these steps work Torontonians were hoping they could try to redirect Ford to ruining another, less important city, by telling him how the woke Libs down in Sarnia were making a real mess of things."

I am so tired of the "If Harris had done _____" or" if the Democrats had done____"

No! NO! NO! If the voters had paid attention to the trash heap called the GOP, and if the media had not failed!! THOSE are the "ifs" everyone should be talking about.

"Democracy hangs its hat on the media"
"Trump and the GOp lied and manipulated!"
Voters were apathetic and too busy with purity testing.

Deflecting the blame onto the Democrats and Harris is what Trump and the GOP want you to do --it's a distraction so they can organize while everyone is busy infighting.

Something is very wrong with our society, besides the politicians, that is...
Cleaning out our closet I found two pair of like brand new jeans too small for me so I offered them to another resident in the building. Later I saw her and asked if the fit was alright.
She said, "Why? Do you want them back?"
ME: "No. Once I give something away I never ask for it to be returned. It's out of my life and what you do with it is no longer my concern"
Her: What can I give you in return because these are like new"
ME: "Nothing. If I give you something or do something to help, I never expect anything in return"
She seemed a little upset and insisted so I explained my philosophy:
"Look, if you ever see someone in need and there is some little way you can help, please do it, and that will be how you can pay me back-deal?"
I have run into so many people who have nothing or very little who feel it is necessary to offer money or goods in exchange for a minor helpful action and that makes me sad especially when they say, "Well everyone expects to be paid, why should you be different?"
That's when I say "Something is very wrong with our society...besides the politicians"
Please note: The same goes for anyone who gives and expects the receiver of the gift to then change their behaviour, it is not right to put expectations on people just because you are helping. Just help, and know you did right.
