It did stop them from getting a specific illness, but not worth it at all. Thats why nearly all vaccine "trials" never use saline solution for the placebo/control group, because they want to hide the harm. They use the same adjuvants in the control group (which is what causes MOST of the damage), so they can say "see? there's hardly any difference, safe and effective!"
