The Bible is quite clear the new covenant with Jesus is a rejection of the previous old Jewish covenant, and the Jews themselves hate Jesus Christ and Christians more than they hate anything else.
When the "Christianity was always Jewish subversion" crowd comes up with something that pisses off Jews more than Jesus Christ, they might have something. They won't. The entire exercise is retarded academic nonsense putting the last 100 years of Jewish subversion of Christianity on a higher pedestal than Christianity being the Jews' mortal enemy for two millennia. These pagan LARPers or whatever they are rejecting Christ is as nonsensical as Boomers rejecting Hitler.
If the Jews don't like something, signal boost it. Simple as. Jews don't give a shit about paganism because it's not a threat to them. They hate Christ because He is. End of story.

During this time they threw out their Torah (taken over by Christians because it showed the coming of Jesus) and their Second Temple Era literature (also showed the coming of Jesus) and came up with the Talmud (calls Jesus a sorcerer that is currently being boiled alive in excrement in Hell)
Christianity from the very beginning and onwards wrote against following these Jewish sects, like Justin Martyr's Dialogue with Trypho and John Chrysostom's homilies Against Jews, warning that they were the killers of Christ -- a title the Jews proudly took on as they continued railing against Christ and Christians, setting themselves up to be the subversive anti-Christian weirdos we all deal with to this day -

I spent a good three years playing bass at an atypical (ie Congregation-led, kind of) Baptist Church, about half of which was spent in association with the IFCA. At no point did we ever consider ourselves “Protestant”, and indeed rejected the label; so I do get it.
That being said, from my perspective, so-called “Roman Catholicism” (in reality, Papism) is really the first Protestantism. While they may be Roman, they’re not *really* Catholic, and are *outside* the Church.
But if everyone else accepted my categories, they’d be agreeing with me. -

@toxoplasmosis @DailyStormerDigest Well at first I was basically in agreement with @Azzmador - but from my perspective evangelical Protestant is clearly “a thing”, because I obviously need *some* way to refer to the broad group without having to list dozens of different ones - and having come through that background, I know it’s widely understood (even if its accuracy is disputed).
I don’t argue with the fact you/they are not really “protesting” anything, and have simply arrived at a version of Christianity you/they agree with. And the impulse to define oneself *independently* of Rome, while not referring to Rome, is reasonable enough.
That being said, I’m still not sure what @toxoplasmosis is asking. Seems to me that, if the jews get their way, we’re *all* Noahides whether we want it or not, and sincere Christians will be liable for the “capital crime” of “idolatry” in their (false) estimation. -

Protestants would return to the Catholic fold if the church would institute reforms that their founders, i.e. John Wesley w/the Methodists, or Martin Luther with the Lutherans, demanded reforms were made by the church.
Evangelicals (most of whom are in a fallen state now bc they do not practice their own original faith) and esp hardcore fundamentalists like myself, aren't protesting anything. There's nothing the Ortho or Catholic churches could do to convince us to become part of them, because it is a false religion, with a works-based salvation and pagan worship of saints.
Orthos and Catholics want to lump all non-ortho/catholic Christians under that term, but it is not accurate. -

You have to read further along:

If you go back a few chapters to Romans 11:28, which refers to how Gentiles should view jews, there is further context:

Jesus was a servant of the jews in that he fulfilled the promises of the Old Testament prophets, and he rewarded the VERY FEW jews who remained faithful. It is explicitly mentioned that the jewish people as a collective called for Christ's crucifixion, with only a handful of his disciples being opposed to it.
Matthew 22-25:
