Christianity doesn't even want you in control of yourself, it wants Jesus in control of you. Let him in your heart. Know him by his fruits (chuckles). Let him inside you (rofl). Be like Jesus. The only interesting thing Jesus did in the bible was whipping the money-lenders, otherwise getting nailed to the cross was pretty good too and needed a laugh-track.

2) I'm going what the bible says. You can pick and choose whatever from whatever random "authority" posing as someone with a clue.
