I've heard the theory that the Liberal Party in Canada was all but dead until Donald Trump got everyone riled up with his bluster about the 51st state. The tariffs are just equalizing and leveling. Nobody has any reason to be mad about that. But the 51st state thing was a taunt. And it turned the election.

My question is, how was that in the US's, or at least in Trump's, best interest? How does he profit from Carney's ascension? He's no fool. There's something. Some reason he wanted this.

I just adopted a Pomeranian dog yesterday. I've shared a home with a Spitz dog (Siberian Husky) before. These dogs need a job. They LOVE to pull. So I was looking for a tiny dog cart online, and all I got for pages and pages was carts for me to cart the dog around. This says something about our culture that isn't pleasant.

I'll build the little guy a cart, probably out of a kid's toy. He can bring the mail up the driveway every day. That solves the problem for the dog, but not for our culture.

Yeah, and I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment. I wish his tweets (X-es?) weren't so cringy, though. The ability to use grammar correctly goes a long way toward implying competence. He looks like he couldn't pass 8th grade English, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

How do you figure big business lead to customers for small business?

I'm thinking obstacles will be removed for big businesses but not for little family operations.

I do agree that investment benefits everyone, but a very small minority has a BILLION (with a B!!) to invest in order to reap the benefit of expedited approvals. Doesn't that leave the little guy twitching in the dust?

Having spent six years entirely off grid on a remote island in Alaska (I even had a baby there, at home, no docs or midwives), I can confidently say, living in the woods is by no means free, but it's freeing.

None. No municipal ANYTHING. Power came from a gas generator. Water from a catchment system. Heat from a wood stove. No phone. No TV reception. No internet. I got net in 2010.

To clarify, I meant fully developed adults (which happens earlier in females) don't HAVE to gain weight as they age. Many do, but they're overeating crap and sitting all day. It's a character thing, not a biological inevitability.

I don't dispute that, but I definitely blame the individual. The attitude I object to is, "It happens to many people, therefore it MUST happen, and there's nothing I can do about it." Horse ca-ca.

... things like "body positivity" and "fat acceptance", and all the bad nutritional "information". The food pyramid was CRIMINAL. You're right. It IS happening. It just pisses me off. My kids are suffering because of those lies.
