@Bleukitty I use linux, and the last time i got an usb wifi dongle, I ahd a bit hard time to find oen that would work. I mean indications it would before I bought it.

@Bleukitty Yes, but if it is attached to the router it would be rather different, I guess? At the server end, so to speak.

My router is getting a bit cranky. I have tried to find some that one can put openwrt on. I've seen some "best of" lists, but can't seem to find the specific models here in Sweden. I only use wifi for my phone, don't need some super duper range nor speed to fry my brain. Can one somehow attach (usb?) something to a wire-only router, to just get some basic wifi? Would that even work in openwrt? Greatful for some suggestions for this non-geek with brainfog. Thank you 🙂

@carolen This is particularly stupid phishing/attempt at blackmail. I got one in Swedish soem years ago. It was unpleasant, like the person writing it, kind of wrote about his own computer history 😅 Plus, even if what they say is true, they wouldnt erase the data... It is really dumb. But unpleasant even when it is just outrageous lies.
