@vitalis That was fascinating. Never heard of it before, so did a quick search if it ever happened here in Sweden, but couldnt find any. The whitepainting of walls happened, but mostly over long time, not at the start of reformation. But the painting of motifs seems to have stopped 1650-1800. And during the 1800 hundreds there was a sort of fundamentalist revival that made congregations in some parts tear down their old small medieval churches, and build big white ones with very little "decor"
