    There are valid arguments to "tax the rich". We all respect the fact that a 1000+ billion personal wealth is earned and deserved, but then you are sometimes SHOWN (evidenced) what these rich cats do with their wealth (Bill Gates, anyone?) and you wonder if something must be broken.

    It is the end result that is concerning, where the money is not used to buy a soccer team or build a stadium, but spent on truly putrid shit like a pleasure island or on a narcotic empire.

    But at least its now obvious to everyone that no amount of money is too much for maintaining Israel's capacity for flanking manouvers. Yo can never rely on what the other Arab (NOT muslim, ARAB STATES) will do, but you can always rely on Israel to ACT.

    Iran has no ally in the Russians or in the Chinese. The US has and ally in the people and in the state of Israel.

    Lemmy started out by building their own protocol, which was totally justified for their reddit-like rating and all the potential feature sets - then they switched to AP. The best way to make it impossible for VC to capture a project is by staying small and fractured, like Zot and ZAP.

    The Fedi relying so much on AP is a death-knell.

    Internet relay chat is still around, and cross-platform is what ruins superb software. Just look what happened to irc just about the time the Windows-only ICQ appeared.

    The UNIX people, by the way, maintain the same argument between the Berkeley-base and the Linux-base: have the Linux folks diluted the quality of UNIX? I think yes, an all-powerful monolotic kernel is not a UNIX design.

    So am not a huge fan of "cross-platform", and I have no complaints when Windows, Mac and BSD folks stay out of my Debian ways.

    I read somewhere that a better way to go forward with food-stamps is by re-registering. This makes sense, because if later it turns out you defraud the system there will be accountability. The numbers don't lie, and because EBTs stopped now we know the demand for them. 44 million is not a small number.

    I think Gutfeld on Fox created the moniker Affluent White Female Liberal AWFL, and I work with several of them. They are full of hate and resentment, and one of them is a control freak. She treats us whites in engineering like garbage, and she treats the hindus like they were national treasure. Its cringe.

    A Civilization has INSTITUTIONS. Some Civilizations have effective, balanced institutions (Western Civilization).

    The Islamic Civilizations, the Communist Civilization, the Latino Civilizations, the Negroid Civilizations don't have institution, they have REFUGEES.

    For Centuries now, all those Civilizations have nothing but broken, broke-ass, miserable beggars for "citizens". The more successful Western Civilization is becoming the more visible and more unbearable theirs become.

    I don't see the Citizens of Western Civilization overrunning the borders of any country in the Middle East, in Asia, Africa, South America.

    The Negroid "Civilization" is selling slaves young and old for Centuries, until the 1800s they were selling slaves for crowies.
