    I am pretty sure getting to the point where you no longer need to take out a personal loan for anything - house, car, medical expense is achievable.

    You still cannot operate a business without loans. If you try you will fail, or the enterprise you call "business" is just a Mon'n'Pop shop.

    Again and again, this was an invasion, this was not "migration". This was artificial and inhumane, displaced millions and tortured, killed thousands. What happened in the last few years is a tragedy, and those who designed and manufactured it will face the consequences.

    What I should have wrote is this: any Republican who is talking about amnesty, at this point in time, regarding the imported masses who WOULD NOT BE INSIDE THE US if the NGOs did not invite and supply and advise - is not a Republican.

    You are correct, Reagan created the amnesty as part of his policy. I do not argue that, amnesty is Republican, and will be Republican when its part of an Immigration Policy.

    Today this is not the case. Talking about "amnesty" is cannot be part of a Republican policy.

    The Republicans aided the invasion, and talking about giving amnesty to anyone this time around is not Republican policy, its something else.

    MAGA is not Republican, its an "emergency response". Its the pendulum that will swing back hard.

    Part of MAGA is to reject all the bickering about what is right and and what is wrong, and just decide what is necessary.

    Mass deportation of the millions who invaded using all sort of resources provided to them, for the sole purpose to provide with a disruptive presence, is absolutely necessary BEFORE any immigration reform.

    I will push back on anyone who would try to discredit my explanation, or its context.

    Might as well tell me that everyone who look mexican must prove they are citizen.

    In 1986 about 75% of the applicants who gained legal status under IRCA were from Mexico. The rest came from Cuba, Vietnam, Poland, China, and the Soviet Union. Very few came from Pakistan, Iran, and some North African countries - AKA Muslims.

    Anyone who discuss "amnesty" is an out-of-control anti-american, and their primary objective will be to hide the fact that these "immigrants" are fucking opportunistic invaders who flooded across the border in the last 4 years.

    This is not an amnesty, this is a surrender, capitulation.

    Amnesty for those who entered the US without permit?

    Whoever even considers it is NOT a Republican. You see how easy it is to see? You do not reward invaders with citizenship, you beat the invaders back and make sure everyone understand what you did and why you did it.

    Otherwise the country will be overrun by billions and billions from all over the planet.

    Today there are several post-graduate degrees about Islam, gender, DEI... Kamala is a living proof just how polluted Academia has become, and the challenges of restoring credibility to any degree. Women entering Academia has a lot to do with it, as they have converted that institution to an activist headquarters the same way they converted all other institution in the Western Civilization.

    Its mostly a technological challenge. Collecting rainwater over my own land is not violating any ordinance and it does not require permit, none I know of and I read the county regulations many times over.

    But cisterns (for potable water) are heavily regulated by the state (Illinois) health code, and they are not cheap to keep licensed. Also, the collection is limited opportunity as heavy winds are not helping, and quiet rainy days are rare.

    Snow - the same. I will be leasing a small backhoe or something comparable, so collection will be easier than with rain.

    I still have 10 years until retirement, and I just started clearing the still pristine forest to claim some for the build site.

    I am actually in the process of building a barnominium on my agri-zoned lot in a farming county, and one of the challenges will be getting water without a well - IF I go that route.

    I am looking at collecting water from snow and rain, and managing to keep it potable longer than usual - 2-3 months.

    I might look into that for THAT niche, but for my condo - no.

    Actually, I recall accidentally catching a segment of the Bill Cosby show recommending to put an empty soda bottle in the toilet tank to save water. This was so idiotic that it stuck in my memory.

    If you want literal shit to build up in your pipes, instead of fully flushed - go ahead and do that. Water saving toilet tanks do not function as advertised.

    Taking a hot shower is also a treat, mental therapy, and one of the absolute greatest blessings of our technological civilization. Don't shortchange yourself.

    I'm already setting the valve on my shower to trickle rather than to blast, because I do not like to waste water and energy either. But I am not going to install something with sand, a pump, activated carbon and UV lamp into my shower.

    Just because it can be done, it does not mean its smart to do. People invent functional stuff all the time, but most have only benefits in a niche. This is one of those.

    Ok.. so let's enumerate the ways life is "not fair" to a large number of Earth's population. Lethal diseases at age 12 cannot be fixed by "policy change", for example.

    We do not need to look for anything exotic such as "identity crisis". All you need to do is look at the suffering that is not self-inflicted.

    It becomes far easier to ignore the rest.
