As an American concerned about our new fascist government and lack of privacy laws the fact that Mastodon, and others I use like Mullvad , reside in nations with more effective privacy laws is a very strong appeal to me.

@dansup With pixelfed, mastodon, etc, the average user needs to learn a few different concepts and behaviors to use with greater benefit and control over current technologies experience. All are capable, just as they learned current technologies a few decades or years ago.

I am old toad and put in plenty of time gently helping friends and family accommodate to some new technologies for keeping socially connected and communicating. (Limited use of phone capabilities is draw back)

@TonyStark Social security is an independent trust, not part of Federal budget, financed by payroll taxes. It is NOT an entitlement and finances itself. It can't help Federal budget mess so leave it alone......

However I want him and others to expand on their fascist views because he has tried to hide them from the public for years. His recent actions and comments have exposed him, to many, for the bigoted fascist that he is.

@xgranade AI generative models and tools are very, very primitive at this point and of suspect accuracy. They rely on possible illegal/privacy violation training data sets. And, the algorithms have terribly biased designs built into them as well. May be realistic,for now, to focus upon automation, robotic tasks and fast information processing use cases.
For anything more the science, the math, complex models, agnostic algorithms, and more comprehensive data sets are not yet developed.
