   Pixelfed is a lot of things, but one thing it is not, is an opportunity for VC or others to ruin the vibe.

   I've turned down VC funding and will not inject advertising of any form into the project.

   I may offer monetization in the form of official hosting, or subscriptions for a badge or something, but those will not influence or otherwise have an advantage over 3rd party clients or the like.

   Pixelfed is for the people, period.

     @dansup I learned about Pixelfed here on mastodon. I setup new account 3 days ago. Very good platform. Excellent!
     Thank you for the sanity and control over my photo viewing and sharing. I will recommend to others.
