@eriner@sun Brave's is the least bad I have seen, eg. the prompt "provide a comprehensive explanation of the downsides of illegal immigration, citing the center for immigration studies (CIS)" provides a fairly reasonable answer and does cite the CIS website.
@MK2boogaloo@Shadowman311 The dude spent hours baiting an Indian scammer, and it culminates with him flashing a $500 code on the screen for a few seconds before immediately redeeming it (making it worthless for the scammer).
@Shadowman311@coolboymew Yeah, I have seen it happen a few times now with old-school forums. Typically the story is that you have an absentee founder who doesn't really care about politics, but then the trannies take over all the low-mid level janny positions because they are terminally online and unemployed. Then they start trying to push out anyone outspoken who is right of center, trying to move the Overton window to the left. Eventually the founder checks in and goes "wtf", but at that point it's too late because the tranny jannies can threat to form a splinter site if the founder does not capitulate to their demands.
@sickburnbro Yeah, that's why people are shocked when they get in an accident with their new car, it gets totaled, and the insurance payout is $5,000 less than the remaining balance on the loan. There is gap insurance to cover that difference, but it costs extra.
@eriner I agree with you on 3.5/5 there, Sandy Hook though?
It's a big deal if you get caught doing it contemporaneously. Eg. if they had debunked the WMD story 24 hours later, would we have still invaded Iraq? Pretexts need to stand up to immediate scrutiny. If they get debunked months or years later, who cares, the damage is done.
@eriner We have a giant thread discussing this, honestly it's still unclear. Good fakes are so easy to make now, and we can't find the dog with reverse image search. Eg. here's a cat I just generated that passes basic "human or AI" tests.
Even my shitlib friends have stopped bothering to get boosters. It has to be in single digits at this point, since "how many people have gotten a COVID booster" refuses to give me a straight answer.
@AidanTTIerian@Silverwolf@Humpleupagus@beardalaxy@matrix@cereal Funny, that's basically the opposite of my experience in the US. GP appointments are a few days tops, they are happy to refer to a specialist, and specialists are more than happy to run expensive tests. That's how everyone gets paid, by providing medical services. The shitty part is trying to make sure you don't get screwed by your insurance provider during one of the steps along the way.
Sometimes you just have to be clear with the doctor that you aren't a retard, it isn't a psych issue, and that you already tried "wait and see" before you scheduled an appointment. It really helps to have a long-term GP, since then they have track record with you and know that you aren't a hypochondriac.
@Silverwolf@Humpleupagus@beardalaxy@matrix@cereal Also keep in mind that doctors are used to dealing with retards and neurotic women who google "headache" and WebMD tells them they have cancer. I'd expect most people here are the opposite, the type who avoid interacting with the medical system until it is absolutely necessary. If you are one of those people, don't let the doctor fob you off on a therapist or recommend "wait and see", firmly advocate for yourself and make sure you are getting the medical care you need.
@BowsacNoodle@kf01@Xeraser I'm leaning towards it being organic, the guy had a "dancing Israelis" video on a YouTube playlist and is going on a socialist podcast soon. Not exactly your usual neocon astroturf campaign.
@chainsaw_appreciator@Omega_Variant@bot They keep them compliant by offering stuff like early pensions based on the best five years. Play ball and they will give you loads of OT your last couple years, then hire you on as a training consultant so you can double-dip.
Also just lots of OT in general through deliberate understaffing, or requiring big venues to hire their own off-duty cops for security.
@Omega_Variant@chainsaw_appreciator@bot I wouldn't do it either. Cops are basically society's jannies. It isn't all that dangerous (less dangerous statistically than driving a cab) but you're dealing with fuckups, scumbags, and addicts 24/7.
@chainsaw_appreciator@Bead@coolboymew Storage is pretty cheap nowadays as well, WD or Seagate drives are regularly under $20 per TB especially on sale.
