Troon terraforming strikes again, take neutral or otherwise inoffensive forum of significant age from previous owners and instantly place a "no politics" rule in place that prevents anyone else aside from them from posting about politics (because their opinions aren't political and are instead immutable and irrefutable opinions, most of which didn't exist 10 years ago).

Reminds me of when Nexus Mods banned that spiderman mod that just switched the game to Saudi Arabia mode that removed all pride flags, nexus then went ape shit and banned all political mods to "prevent controversy", I then went on the Fallout 4 nexus and saw a BLM mod front page on trending, because apparently that's not politics.

  @Shadowman311 @coolboymew Yeah, I have seen it happen a few times now with old-school forums. Typically the story is that you have an absentee founder who doesn't really care about politics, but then the trannies take over all the low-mid level janny positions because they are terminally online and unemployed. Then they start trying to push out anyone outspoken who is right of center, trying to move the Overton window to the left. Eventually the founder checks in and goes "wtf", but at that point it's too late because the tranny jannies can threat to form a splinter site if the founder does not capitulate to their demands.

  Even the American Revolution was closely tied to taverns. That's exactly where politics is discussed. The whole "don't talk politics in bar" is like saying "don't discuss politics."
  
  Plus add in... at work, at family functions, amongst mixed company, etc.... and it's some weird trope meant to keep people from actually discussing what is perhaps most central to modern life.
