There was a funny article about TSMC opening a facility in Arizona and learning that Americans don't have the same deferential relationship with corporations that the Taiwanese do.

TSMC: "Either our engineers work 60 hours a week and exceed performance standards or we fire them!"

Yes, and there were plenty killed by cops in 2021, but the streets were empty. Curious. It's almost like George Floyd was purposefully made into a martyr for electoral expedience. They weren't lucky enough to die 6 months before a pivotal presidential election, so no one knows their names or remembers who they were apart from friends and family.

Newsom would at least be more Obama-era mismanaged decline. Not great, but not as aggressively woke as you'd see under the Twitch and Reddit set.
