Big shareholders influence a board which sets goals. individual agents try to meet those goals and jockey for positions. they have some freedom in hitting targets given they don't cross certain red lines. Trump is loyal to the extent he would lose position and assets. Trump was onice till nothing else worked. Bance was lined up before as the bone to throw to middle America

That and dread is probably right about power players backing him getting what they want, after playing to the base and making a spectacle.

We could have an internal non-washington leader sieze control and have to impose a moral system stop decline like the romans tried. We could also just collapse and people flock back as market forces deteriorate. I think we have had two great revivals in America already.
