@jb @TrevorGoodchild this is still just plain 3-d chess.

But if he isn't a useless bitch in his second term, letting people fuck him over to find who was actually loyal to america over the long term is 4-d chess.

@matty It requires House of Representative cooperation so I'm not holding my breath. On the other hand, Reps are far more vulnerable to voter punishment than 6 year term Senators (Thune can stonewall cheeto boy until 2028)

We will see in a few weeks, and note that tangerine man got a cool ZERO recess appointments during his entire first term

@matty >fat orange retard cannot staff his Cabinet without Senate approval and a vote on the floor (this is how they hamstrung him 2016-2020, he couldn't get any of the people he wanted through McConnell's Senate)

      >fat orange retard DOES have the ability to unilaterally staff his Cabinet and put in who he wants without a vote if the Senate is in 'recess' (these are called recess appointments and Bush got to do this over 100 times when he was President)

      >fat orange retard has the power, as head of the Executive Branch, to 'adjourn' the Senate if he calls for a Convention of both Houses (House of Representatives plus Senate) and there is 'Case of Disagreement' between them

      >this would put the Senate and House into forcible recess, until a time of his choosing

      It's actually . . . clever

@TrevorGoodchild @matty the smartest thing to do is to what is being done now - leak these plans out now, publicly deny them to preserve optionality and fear, and hand the senate a list of recess appointments day 1 and say I expect this tomorrow.

@sickburnbro @jb @TrevorGoodchild It might be classic Trump negotiation tactics of comming out with a crazy initial offer to throw the opposition off before getting as favorable terms as possible. That and dread is probably right about power players backing him getting what they want, after playing to the base and making a spectacle.

Johnson was all "MAGA!" and then got an FBI briefing and started doing whatever the Biden regime wanted.

Apparently they showed him something from his past that didn't want the public to know.

If he's compromised then another briefing from Trump's team can get him do do what they want instead.

@WilhelmIII @s2208 @MeanwhileInOhio @Largo @LawrenceGerald @TrevorGoodchild Speaker Johnson adopted a teenage nigger as part of some cult church project. ( Despite the fact that the boy had a home and a mother and was akshully never adopted and kept his last name and moved back with his mother when he was 18)
Speaker Johnson and his nigger boy were eachother's "accountability partners" and monitored eachother's online porn intake, according to the Speaker

@MeanwhileInOhio @Largo Largo was just asking how long the adjournment was supposed to last. I know the House needs to be involved if he's trying to end-run the Senate which is why I think this is a long shot unless he has some hidden leverage

I think it's a little more limited than that:
"and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper;"

@alchemy @jb @TrevorGoodchild right. what I'm saying is that you're always going to have power players. The only question is are they out in the obvious or are they hiding? We've had a lot of sneaky backroom shit in the past 20 years.

Musk is different in that he is a power player that has been not only out in front but at a level of personal investment we have never seen. The closest to this is Soros, but he hasn't been on stages in fronts of millions of people with a man who was almost killed.

I don't buy the whole spectacle thing here because if this is a spectacle ( thus you are getting fucked ) then the question is why - the answer is normally "because powerful people are getting what they want rather than you" -

but the question is why would trump have more loyality to them - the a/b answer is "because they control him", but this is where the whole a/b falls apart - if they are truly "running things" trump is a bad puppet. And a bad puppet who almost gets killed is a very bad puppet.

@sickburnbro @jb @TrevorGoodchild Its not control in the sense of puppet but like agents in a firm. Big shareholders influence a board which sets goals. individual agents try to meet those goals and jockey for positions. they have some freedom in hitting targets given they don't cross certain red lines. Trump is loyal to the extent he would lose position and assets. Trump was onice till nothing else worked. Bance was lined up before as the bone to throw to middle America

@alchemy @jb @TrevorGoodchild That's not a bad theory, but it's too "just fits" - Trump was doing his thing until 2015, why bother running for president?

If anything the shareholders theory implies that he had shareholders in 2016 who brought all the GOP faggots on board, and then they mismanaged 2020 and now when the stock tanked he bought them out and is free of a huge amount of their influence.
