@ariadne that's one of the things I liked about fedi when I first checked out this mastodon corner of things. It really reminded me of irc. Something about it being more raw and direct than any of the centralized algorithmy social media attempts. The feeling of "this shit can't possibly function" that I got while it just continued to function in its slightly anarchic fashion.

In all seriousness, how do you phrase "this package in your distribution isn't working at all for anyone in any circumstances" in a positive light?

The companies involved in creating distributions aren't charities. IBM, Canonical, RedHat, etc, should be working on this already.

@lookitmychicken this public voting system is made to be gamed. It shouldn't even cost that much to do it. A bit of research into historic voting patterns together with knowledge of which countries could be explored most efficiently, and I wouldn't be surprised if you could push the vote from bottom ten to number one for a pretty reasonable price.

Then you could host in your brand new stadium in what used to be Rafah. Hypothetically.
