I had one encounter with this amazing man.

When I worked at WAMU public radio, we had a staff giveaway table for extra copies of the many books we got. I was looking through them and suddenly heard that magnificent voice asking, “Are these for anyone?” I told Jones, who had just been on a show, that James Earl Jones could have as many as he wanted. He laughed and made a small pile.
