     Strategically Bondi needs the knuckleheads to be attacked and die and will keep ramping up until that happens.

     I don’t think the knuckleheads know this.

     I think the “magical pixies” (if they even exist) are irrelevant to both Bondi and the knuckleheads.

     I can't believe "some immature knuckleheads" is a minority number. I'd love to hear about these magical pixies that support deescalation in the field, but those are just stories.

     Re the “magical pixies,” there’s a more nuanced reading here that is completely plausible:

     Some seasoned ICE agents, while being just as racist and cruel as you’d expect an ICE agent to be, may also have enough professionalism and good sense to read a situation, sense when escalation will and won’t work, and exercise self-discipline.

     (Police do this: they can switch between friendly, stoic, and inflammatory based on reading the situation.)

     I can easily imagine that such ICE agents exist, and are alarmed at the noobs (both noob colleagues and noob bosses) doing stuff that they can see quite clearly will get one of them killed.

     And if the “magical pixies” do exist (I’m skeptical but it’s possible) then I expect they are somewhat smarter than the knuckleheads and might be starting to realize they are just pawns in Bondi’s ghoulish game. Sigh … that’s probably too hopeful.

     Thanks, I don’t think so but similar thoughts have been circulating and also on my mind for months.

     Reading the stuff from Klipperstein it just made me think that the field agents might not know Bondi wants them attacked and/or killed. Which started me going: “Hmm …”

     And Kevin laid that out well in his thread.
