    @PurpCat @PunishedD I legitimately think for twitter style social media, you're either here on one of the 2 halves of the fediverse (The federated or fediblock listed.) that or you just use X/twitter.

    Bluesky will probably die and I'm just hoping it becomes an infinite money sink where someone else makes a blueskylike and the cycle of life and death repeats continuously. The most important thing is that they continue to self segregate to stay in their gilded cage away from everything else.

    @eris @EdBoatConnoisseur @DarkMahesvara @Suzu I just see it at this point as if wayland was truly supposed to beat x11, why did they need to spend 2-3 years suppressing merge requests, and when someone decides to do a hard fork they became super hostile and straight up banned x11libre from freedesktop. If you make a better FOSS project wouldn't you win by just making a better project?

    The behaviour just makes me think of how any project with enough libshits starts becoming censorious and banning people for not believing in their religion. Are we even open anymore?

    @mischievoustomato @RustyCrab @phnt it's going to be a year to 2 years imo before we see a desktop steam os release. The red hat open source nova drivers for nvidia rtx 2k and beyond cards aren't passed their infancy.
    We aren't going to see anything happen until they're ready as Valve isn't going to package nvidia's linux graphics drivers in their SteamOS image.
    The best you'll get for desktop steamos from valve is them releasing a steambox or you hamfisting the steam os recovery image onto an all AMD pc build.

    @WaifuPoaster88 @SuperSnekFriend @Iffine honestly this sounds dumb but it's probably a good thing. It'll hamper the normies ability to read manga which will damage the overall mind share. Imo though I wonder if japan will notice that less people are talking about their IP and therefore it will affect the sales of the product. We'll probably just jolly roger again.
    You know I was looking into how to setup a xdcc server for irc. It might be interesting to set one up to distribute some manga.

    @Hoss @Goalkeeper @SuperSnekFriend @blueknightfrank you get a new ID in the red square every thread. It's just convenient to weeding out people who will talk to themselves in the same thread to make their opinion gospel by appearing to be a larger mass than they are.
    Even if they reroll the id a bunch you can tell if basically every single reply they get is a (1) post.

    It's just been arch-chroot and save yourself by doing commands there.
