      @hellhammer666 also the numeta for fetching is fastfetch. Neofetch owner literally quit the internets to become a based farmer.

      The whole Technerd to Farmer pipeline is real.

      @DarkMahesvara @hellhammer666 Real talk i've done btrfs on arch and i've legitimately never had my system break in a way snapshots would have saved me. 🤡 All the extra work for getting it up for fucking Nothing.

      It's just been arch-chroot and save yourself by doing commands there.

      @hellhammer666 you really don't need a tutorial for that stuff. archwiki should have all the info you need.

      Oh btw, this laptop that came with Win 11 unfortunately :vomit: it's RAM usage is just terrible. It used over 5 GB of it's RAM compare to Linux. And it's just after I logged in without even opening other applications.

      If some of you are wondering why Endeavour? Well lets just say I was having trouble finding the tutorial on installing Arch with btrfs instead of ext4 for the main root of my laptop, so I've decided to skip it and use this distro unfortunately.

      @Spooke @DarkMahesvara @hellhammer666 same here, I'm on nixos +btrfs but the snapshots are nixos' feature, not btrfs in this case

      @Tamamo @DarkMahesvara @Spooke @hellhammer666 yep, it's also not part of the linux vfs subsystem so its kinda treated like normal app ram

      @DarkMahesvara @Spooke @hellhammer666 Isn't ZFS heavy on RAM usage?

      @Spooke @hellhammer666 i don't see why form factor would matter. desktop, server or even router all benefit from it.

      @DarkMahesvara @hellhammer666 if i'm running ZFS it's going to be on a NAS. i'm not going to run it on a laptop.

      @Spooke @hellhammer666 for me zfs snapshots have been very much worth it. not so much reverting system breakage but quick recovery of files and human error.

      a rollback is still much faster than chroot, i would never go back to a inferior filesystem without that feature. its a time machine for data.
