@sickburnbro Why? I like working on cars from that era and older. I also get to have my boys help me. At their age getting to do projects with dad is the coolest thing on earth, and it's good learning for them.
@sickburnbro Won't be $10k+ to do so. I have my own tools. I have access to a three car garage. I have a buddy who just got back in to mechanic work and he'll help/do it on the cheap if I ask. I know he'll do a good job too, because we've worked on each others' old cars for years. Hell, I was supposed to drop by and help him pull a dash panel over the weekend, but there was a schedule conflict.
me over here looking at some literal 1990s Olds that looks better than most cars 10 years old, and it's only $5k.
I literally have that in my spending account right now and still more than enough for a full computer upgrade. Not my spending and bills account, my spending account that's seperate from my bills-paying account.
It's also almost the exact same car a buddy of mine had back in the day, so I know how they handle, which is to say great.
@Dicey@IsekaidStug@prettygood My town isn't much bigger than yours. I've also lived a lot of different places though. Mostly in the Eastern United States.
And really there's things to be happy and unhappy about. My friends and I are going to give amateur boxing a try in a few days, and I expect it to be fun.
@EllisDee@sun Also, $38k for a wedding? My father in law handed the guy who runs his favorite restaurant a couple grand, we used the (spacious) back room of the place, the music guy wasn't that much, and the audio/visual recording was done by a couple of guys I used to work with at the time, one of which did it in exchange for me helping him one evening with his side job.
Granted, we've probably spent more than $38k at this place on meals over the years....
