@apps can I sponsor a feature request somehow to be able to have the toots language selection be based on a list that can be customised in the settings? When switching between language interactions I sometimes keep searching because I search for "German" instead of "Deutsch" (which is a me problem not a i18n problem)

I don't watch the dude but how is it that he is so dismissive and during minute
2 to 4 completely misrepresenting what Linus said in the WAN show? For some people these numbers matter a lot... Maybe not to the two of them but not every business contract is the same. And likes are not the same... As Dan showed on the WAN...

Eigentlich müsste man ne Demo organisieren in denen man gezielt Züge überfüllt und keiner ein Ticket hat. Langstrecke Hamburg Altona nach Wien. Immer wieder. Vielleicht merken sie es dann.

At least in the German Wikipedia the problem of "not enough editors" is self made because the people with high reputation have no interest in guiding new people into making meaningful changes. Instead they give oppinionated feedback and revert edits (thereby increasing their activity score and increasing their own reputation). The random mentor system only works on paper. After ignoring the warnings of several people I had that exact same experience.

You seem to have more information than the rest of us? What did the EU exactly do? Because Eugen was lying when he said that the German Tax office retracted the non-profit benefits "without giving a reason". They can't and won't do that! If he says otherwise he either didn't understand and challenge the reason given or he is lying - period.

"Subvocalization" is pretty normal but not every person does it:

Most of the time it is my own voice. But when i read something interesting like a fantasy novel I "synthesize" different voices for different characters. I can also "borrow" from my memory i.e. David Attenborough could do the narrators voice in Terry Pratchetts "Small gods" if I wanted to.

I also have inner dialogs all the time discussing things with "my inner selfs" - also common and pretty normal.

The one thing i realy hate about #mastodon is that I still can't figure out why even with @apps I sometimes see the thread start but replys by others won't load...
There are indeed excellent answers under this and lots of them are reassuring because a) non of us is a horrible outlier and should see a doctor and b) there are realy nice variations that make me wonder if our brain is just a whacky collection of random hacks or if all of this might have a evolutionary selection advantage.

Yes also that ?. But the first sentence is actually german "bad simple English". If you want to say "I think you are all crazy here" one would say: "Ich denke ihr spinnt hier alle" which is often literally misstranslated: "I think you all spider".
