@skinnylatte having been to Roti King a few times I’m surprised how popular it is considering its tight menu. American versions of these would’ve done too much and thus too little. Maybe Londoners are more receptive to these types.

@skinnylatte Yin Ji Chang Fen is a puzzling franchise. They have quite a few locations in the US but it's hard to tell because there isn't a single US site that shows where they all are. Each franchise location also seems to come up with a new logo. I wonder if they all taste different from each other.

PSA: directfile.irs.gov is dead. Not even a "we're closed" message with alternatives. Instead of going back to Turbotax or H&R Block, use freetaxusa.com. Ridiculous name, legitimate business. Federal filing is free. State is $16. Happily using it for the last 5 years. No referral code, just spreading the word.

@skinnylatte I gave up my PR when I was 15. 5 years later I applied for a study abroad program with NUS. After moving into the dorms and attending the first week of classes I was locked out of my room and was told by the RA that I’ve been expelled. No reason provided.

After many visits to ICA I finally learned from a kind uniformed gentleman that “they”did this because I renounced my PR and should be happy to be able to stay on a tourist visa.

Anyway, I do not believe you can ever opt out.

@SRLevine @skinnylatte went to the replies to find my over medium cult and it delivered. Perfect choice for diners where you're not sure how they cook their eggs. If it's under cooked it's basically sunny side, if it's overcooked it won't be over hard.

@skinnylatte my alternative is Southwest and an extra hour or two of travel via Oakland. Late stage capitalism sucks.

#UnitedAirlines has started a pattern of forcing later boarding groups to check their carry ons at the gate despite having ample overhead space.

It’s so clearly a manufactured paper cut designed to incentivize seasoned flyers to pay up for priority boarding.

And they CHARGE for this supposed travel luxury. Ugh.

Nasi Padang off the buffet was absolutely perfect. Takes me right back to Singapore.

None of my friends get it but it's easily S tier chili sauce for me.
