Is anyone open for commissions doing a simple humanoid character design & rigging in Blender? I’d need a mannequin-like detail, but cm-level accuracy from real-world measurements. Probably a small job (2-4 hours) for someone who knows how to do it. boosts ok! 🔁 #blender #b3d

@cavyherd @slyka @miunau there are of course laser readers for vinyl discs. the issue with it is dust; the needle can remove some dust from the groove, laser can only do it at significantly higher power levels 😉

Has someone written a fedi timeline statistics tool? I want to see distribution of accounts on my timeline, maybe some semantic analysis, percentage of media, etc. Or do I need to write my own? #askfedi #chatActivityPub

On a related note, I’m not convinced a purely chronological 1:1 timeline is the best experience possible. I would prefer to see more of the accounts who post less, and get buried under mountains of shitposts unless I’m unsustainably online. There’s an option to get notified on every post of select accounts, but I would prefer something that works on probabilities and equalizes (normalizes?) my feed.

As of now, if someone posts once per week, and I’m looking at my timeline once per week, there’s almost no chance I’ll see that post.

I don’t think the algorithmic selection optimizing for screen time (à la twitter) is healthy either, but there should be a way to make this work. What if you could cook your own weighting algo and adjust to your liking?
