I don’t think the algorithmic selection optimizing for screen time (à la twitter) is healthy either, but there should be a way to make this work. What if you could cook your own weighting algo and adjust to your liking?

I would prefer to see more of the accounts who post less, and get buried under mountains of shitposts unless I’m unsustainably online. There’s an option to get notified on every post of select accounts, but I would prefer something that works on probabilities and equalizes (normalizes?) my feed.

Z̈oé ⛵ (uint8_t@chaos.social)'s status on Monday, 17-Jun-2024 00:56:00 JST Z̈oé ⛵ Has someone written a fedi timeline statistics tool? I want to see distribution of accounts on my timeline, maybe some semantic analysis, percentage of media, etc. Or do I need to write my own? #askfedi #chatActivityPub
