Combine them and we will have our own morality police. Our unique U.S. morality is that mix of Calvinism/Ayn Rand/Prosperity Gospel: Only the economic makers are the select few & worthy of heaven, and everyone not blessed with riches is a taker deserving of nothing. Soon to be enforced by the ICE morality police. The pieces are coming together.

@davidaugust yes. the Fox article about the wine ladies set me off, sorry. It had some culture war lingo in it. Combining religion and military is scary. Usually people are too conflicted and disorganized in the USA. It's a feature not a bug. but now we have acting president Miller.

@solarbird the video I saw, the ICE may have said 'get out of the car', which was blocking the road. or something similar. The car then drove off and the ICE agent short two shots with the already pulled gun. Shooting into cars by police has been banned in many places, because it is a basic firearm rule to never shoot unless one can see their target.

@ldmay65 @StillIRise1963 That is why if billionaires leave places with a wealth tax, no one will care. Hoarded money doesn't help an economy, and in fact helps an economy less than a person with no money.

I recall a map of the 'second language' spoken in each state, and arabic was #2 in Michigan. My old MAGA High School classmates on facebook flipped out over that one.

@JessTheUnstill @StillIRise1963 These senators are voting against democratic party orthodoxy, which currently is 'all human rights for everybody'. Normally I'm never going to criticize politicians that represent their voters and vote differently than my state would like. Since the POV of different states are all different from each other. But to vote against human rights such as food and health care is not what the democratic party is about.

@ATLeagle @havvyhh2 @WarnerCrocker before the vote i let my senators know if they caved I would work for their primary opponents, because if they cave they will surely be primaried. I'm waiting to see how they vote.

@lauren It was the lead story on the NBC nightly news tonight. Last I checked, each of the nightly broadcast news shows gets about 7 million viewers a night. Sooner are later others will connect that Flight 93 reference, because it is awful to think the brave people on Flight 93 wasted their lives to save the White House, only to have the mouthpiece of the Federalist Society, Supreme Court, & Heritage Foundation destroy the White House anyway.

The Tucson Baseball Team’s official debut in its new home has been delayed indefinitely because of visa-related issues.

The team, which relocated from Navojoa, Sonora, and is a member of the Mexican Pacific Winter League, was scheduled to play its first home series Oct. 16-19 at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.
