What Trump's pompous brow beating of media has accomplished is we now everyone can see how ALL of what was formerly called the MSM has been in the tank for fascist conservatives for decades. They just pretended to do that both sides nonsense. Go back to any campaign for president, and the coverage of dem candidates was always glossy and superficial, no policy issues covered.

@maxleibman The perkiness of the Fediverse is languishing. It still carries the mantle of social media righteousness that the other platforms don't have with their fascist or fascist adjacent owners. But in an entire world gone fascist, many people have just given up on being righteous. It's everywhere, not just the Fediverse. We need that perkiness back in the Fediverse.

The local fireworks really picked up in Biden's second year, and are still going strong. There were fewer giant fireworks this year and more just mid size, but the quantity made up for that. It will be interesting next year after the tariffs have full effect and questions about the food supply are answered to see if people still have money for fireworks.

@nora I dont know about steriods. Those need the same regulations as any other hormone. For public safety. I did a search on stories about law enforcement steroid use, and it's alarming.

@blogdiva absolutely. Why would some of these folks need five or more yachts? one for each ocean? I looked this up once, and the total number of large yachts is greater than all of the world's navy ships combined. It's like a ghost navy of smugglers.
