here's the thought: i have a hard time with bots that tell me to do ordinary self care type tasks because they just feel like reminders that i am fucked up and have executive function problems
okay so i was given an extremely good idea for a self care bot and it's a wizard that gives you daily quests. i need help narrowing down what kind of quests i want to have it ask you to do
so i am thinking of things that make you look at and interact with the world in a way that feels safe but still pushes you a little bit toward like. grounding yourself
i want questbot to give you ideas of things that will encourage you to interact with the world in a way that is positive and nice without giving people like me a duolingo style streak oriented fuckup complex
i have been talking to my dad about how his bike game he plays gives him ideas of new places to go and that's good for his health. and games and activities where doing them isn't the point so much as making you go do something
i am thinking of having it do grounding exercises, fetch quests/treasure hunts, and stimming exercises. without explicitly saying the grounding and stimming are what those ones are
I'm also giving $5 from each sponsorship to Distribute Aid for harm reduction toolkits. Some people can be cheered up by jewelry; some people need material aid.
Alright so my birthday is coming up and what I want for my birthday is to give other trans people presents that I made. So I'm opening up sponsorships for another round of We Want You To Have This. (Thread.)
