The most sensible #GunControl proposal I've ever heard: let's nationalize the U.S. gun industry.

The American domestic gun industry could be bought for about $5 billion. The U.S. government could find this amount in the sofa cushions.

The newly nationalized industry would not maximize profits. Instead, it would drop all sales of semi-auto weapons to civilians. It would require background checks. It would drop its support of the NRA.

I've seen a proper campaign to change the age of #consent, led by experts in child development, social workers, and legal experts. This is not that.

There could not be a stronger case for an exception to Texas' abortion law than #KateCox.

It was a wanted pregnancy. She has two children and wants more. The fetus is not viable. Forcing her to take the pregnancy to term may make it impossible for her to bear children in the future, or even make orphans of her two children.

Republicans claimed there were exceptions to the Texas abortion law. They lied, and here's the proof. They want no exceptions.

They're suspended from my little instance, and I see they're also suspended on hoosier.social, which explains why you can't see their posts or search out their accounts. So they can't do their harrassment and intimidation on your timeline, which is both "working as designed" and cold comfort.

You heard right. There are lists of servers that harbor fascists and whatnot, which you can find on hashtag FediBlock. Mostly they're an island defederated from the rest of us.
