If we look towards the USA for intelligent life, we won't find any in a few years as those with a decent leval of IQ are all going to move to another country, leaving the billionaires, and MAGA behind.

With all these US sackings, Canada perhaps needs to look at it's immigration system and the skills it needs, then find a way to fast track citizenship so that the skilled workers and families who are being stabbed in the back can move easily to Canada to keep working in these jobs.
After all, are neighbours there to help each other.

IIRC, Guantanimo bay is out side the usual legal US juristiction, as a result they employed more extreme interrogation techniques such as waterboarding (a form of torture under international law) to obtain information from the inmates the camp was designed for.
If this is still the case, how are these people going to be treated, they are not terrorists, just perhaps in the US without the correct paperwork. This is not a reason to treat people in a inhumane way, which is not acceptable.
I would also suspect countries could be held accountable if people deported to the USA end up treated badly.

It is good to know that Gitmo is still up, running and able to be operational again, with any luck the US people will get rid of trump, and have him and his rich buddies incarcerated in Gitmo with their assets distributed to the worlds population.
so over $100 billion distributed to 7 billion people. and that is just a fraction of the wealth of Musk.

I think this is the only way you can do this, But you need to be organised, I would suggest under NO circumstances organise anything on Meta or X platforms, otherwise the info will probaby be shared with government.

Sooner or later, Americans will have to pour into the streets and stand up for justice, the public good, rule of law, and democracy.

The far right consider them to be criminals because they are in the US without the right visa (esp if working) while that is technically correct, this does not reflect the fact people need to fill jobs.

It will be interesting when a US contestant on a quiz show answers gulf of America to a question, when the rest of the world knows it as gulf of mexico, wrongj answer given and their jackpot of say 1 million (what ever currency) is taken away.
America is not the sole country in the world, the rest of the world are not going to change every map over night, just on the words of a ego maniac in the whitehouse.

We have similar rules in the UK, you need to prove your right to work in the UK, I think the same applies for some courses, oddly you need to do this, even if you are moving jobs /employer, like duh I am already working, of course I have the right to work here.

We are all human, I am male, I type with my fingers, a person who is female also types with their fingers, if someome transitions they still have the same fingers which they type with. So why can't we simply treat people with respect regardless of how they identify.

Yeah, it will be interesting when people cite chatgpt as a source which one cannot verify as you can't revist that source. At least with WikiPedia or other more credible sources you can put in source url, date etc and people know when you found the source
Chat gpt is hopeless. a friend found instructions to make slime, just what to do, no ingreident list or how much to use, so from a science viewpoint totally useless.

"What good is an AI that can't answer questions about Tiananmen Square?!"
You're getting so close to understanding... Censorship aside, LLMs are not question-answering machines. They can't answer questions about anything.
My hope is that the fear of "China spying on our AI queries" and "China making AI spit out propaganda answers" would be enough to convince people that maybe treating LLMs as question-answering machines is a terrible idea all around. -

Not quite on the same scale but before the Raspberry Pi came along it was thought that Risk / Arm were just very specailised, since then the number of Arm based single board computers has increased hugely. I am not sure if the Pi can be fully attributed to this, but it did start something.
Upto then, Intel / Amd processors were the main choice for computers.
Of course phones had a lot to do with this too, but phones and tablets to me are different to desktop computers.
I probably need some clarity help here, but lets start a conversation perhaps.
